CAN substances as drugs, herbs and foods affect our dreams? Yes. During REM protein-synthesis is highly active, so you need high levels of amino acids. The neurotransmitter in use during REM is Acetylcholine. It is made from the B-vitamin Choline and the vitamin B--5. and yes there are more stronger food and naturel fruits that can make us dream more ....Crystals and Magnets may also affect your dreams
When the level of lucidity is high, you are well aware and You can decide of what you want to do. When the level of lucidity is low, you partially aware you are dreaming, BUT you have not a great impact on your dream
With low-level lucidity, your realization may also fade and you may accept the whole dream as reality.
During the night, you have many dreams at least one per REM period of sleep. The brain seems to erase the previous dream during the intermediate stages between REM periods. so to remember your dreams, you will need to wake up during the REM period. The easiest is simply to set your alarm clock for 111 minute periods. Human spend somewhere between one to two hours dreaming. We usually dream about once every 111 minutes of sleep. The time you spend in dreams becomes longer throughout the night, from about 11 minutes to around 45 minutes or slightly longer.
